Program updated. We would like to invite you to participate in the 2020 OPM meeting on February 4 and 5, 2020 in Germany! Join us to present, talk, and learn more about open source reservoir simulation. This time the event will be hosted by HPC-Simulation-Software & Services(local organizer), its organization is shared with OPM-OP AS and NORCE. We hope to welcome all of you in Eichstätt. The details of the event are as follows:
Please choose your tickets to register your participation at the meeting as early as possible (latest until January 15, 2020). This will help us planning.
As always this meeting is community driven and every participant is welcome to give an OPM related informal talk or come up with a group discussion topic. Please let us know (at events AT dr-blatt DOT de) if you intend to give a talk or have a topic. Your talk should be flexible in time since the time available will depend on the amount of talks. The plan is to focus on user specific talks during the first day. The second day will be more developer focussed. We plan to organize this day as an unconference where the community will propose discussion topics.
We have deactivated the online registration as of January 21, 2020. If you decide to join us after the deadline, please contact the organizer via email (at events AT dr-blatt DOT de)
This is a community driven event. You can propose a talk when you register. Please remember to actively participate in the planning on github where you can still propose talks and topics for the unconference part.
You can find all the locations on the map
For those arriving during the day, we have reserved tables at "Brauereigasthof Trompete", Ostenstr. 3, 85072 Eichstätt at 7 p.m.

Participants should book their accomodation themselves. During the conference it is off-season for tourists and it should not be too complicated to get a room. Possible options are:
The listed accomodations are very central, just a few minutes from the venue. The prices include breakfast.
A full list of accomodation possibilities can be found at https://www.eichstaett.de/gastgeber/.
If you leave at noon on February 5, you will reach the planes to Norway or the Netherlands that depart around 5 p.m. Of course we hope that you stay for the whole meeting
The train station in the city is called "Eichstätt Stadt" and you usually will have to change trains 8 km outside at the station called "Eichstätt Bahnhof" to take a shuttle train to "Eichstätt Stadt". Please check with Deutsche Bahn.
Probably the airport with the most connections from outside of Germany, but a bit incovenient to reach. If you arrive here you will have the following options. The other option is Nuremberg (NUR) with a train connection to Eichstätt Stadt that takes 1:40 to 2:00 hours.
If you are lucky this takes 2:15-2:45 hours, see Deutsche Bahn for connections.
You will travel by bus to Ingolstadt and then change to either taxi or train. Every hour the [Airport Express bus X109[https://www.invg.de/maps_airport) leaves from Terminal 2 E03, platform 20 (Lufthansa/SAS). at the hour. If you arrive at Terminal 1 (KLM, Norwegian) the bus stops in Area A/B (when you leave the building go to left side until you are at the stop at the street) three minutes later. Single tickets cost 23 EUR return tickets 36 EUR if purchased with the driver (a bit cheaper online). Estimate travel time to Ingolstadt is 1:15 hours, but this might vary.
If you get off at station "Ingolstadt Nord" (estimated arrival time is a quarter past the hour), you can change to the train that either departs 34 or 8 minutes past the hour. The journey from Ingolstadt Nord to Eichstätt Stadt takes around 45 minutes. See Deutsche Bahn for connections.
You can also arrange for a taxi to pick you up. The drive to Eichstätt should take around half an hour.If you want to take a taxi, you have the following options:
|Taxi Schneider||+4984214009||Fixed: 60 EUR||Cash only|
|Taxi Jo||+4984211653||Fixed: 50 EUR||Cash only|
|Taxi Schwarz||+498421936061||Meter: ~ 53 EUR 4 person, ~67 EUR 8 persons||Credit card on notice when reserving|
Hence this will take 2:20 hours if you change to the train and 1:45 hours if you change to taxi in Ingolstadt. Plus wait time for the bus. If you have checked luggage and are unlucky then you might need half an hour to get out of the airport.
You can also arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the airport. You should do this well in advance (e.g. before your flight departs). All local taxi companies offer pickup (or return) for a fixed price:
|Taxi Schneider||+4984214009||140 EUR||Cash only|
|Taxi Jo||+4984211653||140 EUR||Cash only|
|Taxi Schwarz||+498421936061||145 EUR (4 person), 180 EUR (8 persons)||Credit card on notice when reserving|
Taxi will be there 15 minutes after your scheduled landing time The drive should take 1-1.5 hours.
If you hail a taxi at the airport and pay by the meter it will be around 180-200 EUR (100km). (I got tricked once to pay a higher price!). You may negotiate a fixed price with the driver before the start
